Sustainability

🌱 Built to last. Built to matter.

While most paddleboards are made from foam, plastic, and fiberglass—materials that damage the planet and break down over time—the Giesler GLYDE was built to do the opposite.
Each board is handcrafted using traditional boatbuilding methods and natural Canadian cedar, offering a thoughtful, lasting alternative to mass-manufactured, petroleum-based products.

🌲 What Makes the Giesler Glyde Eco-Conscious?

1. 100% Cedar. 0% Foam.

No plastic shells. No EPS cores.
Just sustainably sourced Ontario white cedar and BC red cedar—strong, lightweight, and biodegradable.

2. Made by hands, not machines

Each board is cut, shaped, sanded, nailed and finished by real people in Powassan, Ontario.
No molds. No factory lines.
Just craftsmanship and sawdust.

3. No mass production. No waste.

We build one board at a time.
No off-cuts from molding, no factory seconds, no landfill piles.
What we start, we finish—cleanly.

4. Built to Last Generations

Plastic and foam boards crack, warp, and get tossed.
The Giesler GLYDE is designed to last a lifetime or more, reducing replacement cycles and environmental impact.

5. Low Carbon. Locally Made.

Unlike overseas boards that ship thousands of kilometers, every Glyde is made in Ontario using locally sourced materials.
Fewer miles. Fewer emissions. More meaning.

6. Legacy Over Landfill

This isn’t a throwaway product.
It’s a board you maintain, not replace.
A vessel meant to be passed down—not left behind.

♻️ Responsible by Nature and by design.
When you paddle a Giesler GLYDE, you're gliding on more than water—
You're riding on a century of craftsmanship, a conscience for the future, and a board made with care, not compromise.
