For over a century, Giesler Boats has been building handcrafted cedar watercraft in Powassan, Ontario. Our boats and canoes have graced docks, cut through lakes, and carried generations.
This year, we’re launching something new—but born from the same tradition:
A handcrafted cedar strip stand-up paddleboard built with the same integrity, skill, and soul. The Giesler GLYDE.

To honour this next chapter we are introducing only 25 boards in our inaugural 2025 Breakwater collection. Not mass-produced. Just twenty-five pieces of functional art—each made by hand, and made to last.

Every Giesler GLYDE is hand-built from Canadian cedar by a fourth-generation boatbuilding family in Powassan, Ontario. It’s 1 of 1. Yours.
Each board in the Breakwater collection has:
- A unique name decided upon after each board is made. Once a name is assigned, it will never be used again.
- A serial number
- A Certificate of Authenticity
- "1 of 1" insignia—because no two will ever be the same
